Ukrainian soldiers in the Kherson direction report significant activity by the occupiers in the area.

Russian troops are likely using the temporary ceasefire around Oleshki to prepare some kind of large-scale offensive operation, perhaps even an attempted landing in Kherson, the German publication BILD reports, citing Ukrainian military sources.

According to the publication, after several months of famine and constant Russian attacks around Oleshki in the Kherson region, a truce was established. It became possible after public pressure and mediation by the Vatican. US First Lady Melania Trump also joined the efforts on this issue.

Amid the ceasefire, the Russian military released a video of the demining of the road between Oleshki and Radensk. This route, which the occupiers had previously almost completely mined, is to be used for the evacuation of local residents, scheduled for Saturday.

At the same time, Ukrainian military officials cited by BILD report signs of Russian preparations for combat operations. According to them, Russian KamAZ trucks with combat groups are continuously moving along the roads, and the Kakhovka industrial zone is being equipped with anti-drone nets.

According to the publication’s sources, the Russians are also accumulating Grad multiple rocket launchers in the forest near Radensk, cutting down trees and strengthening shelters. Similar movements of military trucks are also recorded in the area of ​​Hola Prystan. In addition, the occupiers are bringing drone units closer to the Dnieper.

“They are preparing something bad,” the Ukrainian military officer emphasizes, describing the actions of Russian forces.

According to BILD’s interlocutors, the situation may escalate after the end of the ceasefire on November 1.

“After the end of the ceasefire, the situation will definitely worsen,” said another Ukrainian soldier, also suggesting that the Russians will try to cross the Dnieper.
