Six regions were under attack by the Russian occupiers.

The Russian Federation attacked energy and gas transportation infrastructure facilities in six regions of Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported on its Telegram channel .
“On the night of August 26-27, the enemy carried out another massive terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine,” the message says.
It is noted that targeted destructive attacks were carried out on energy and gas transportation system facilities in six regions of Ukraine, in particular in Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia regions.
The damage assessment is currently underway. Emergency and rescue services are working at the scene of the impacts.
The Ministry of Energy noted that at around 1:00 a.m., a UAV strike damaged equipment at one of the key substations in Sumy, resulting in a significant portion of the city and industrial consumers being left without power.
In Poltava region, the enemy carried out a targeted and comprehensive attack on gas transportation infrastructure facilities, causing significant damage. Energy and gas engineers are working to restore energy and gas supplies as soon as possible.
“We view the Russian attacks as a continuation of the Russian Federation’s deliberate policy of destroying Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure on the eve of the heating season. This is another act of energy terror directed against the civilian population,” the Ministry of Energy added.
