On the afternoon of December 12, the Russian occupation army launched another attack on Odessa; eyewitnesses reported that a civilian vessel was on fire.

According to a UNIAN correspondent , an air raid alert was issued at approximately 3:20 p.m. Monitoring channels reported that an enemy reconnaissance drone, “Shaheds,” had been detected, along with a ballistic threat. Odesa Special Operations Commander Oleh Kiper reported that the threat exists for the Bolhrad, Odesa, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Razdelnyanskyi, Izmailskyi, and Podolskyi districts of the Odesa region.

Some time later, two powerful explosions were heard in Odessa and the suburbs.

Local Telegram channels reported that a civilian cargo ship was ablaze in the suburbs after landing. Photos that appeared online show the vessel, likely a bulk carrier, ablaze. According to the Public , the fire on the vessel broke out during the air raid alarm.
