The absence of a senior US diplomat from a key transatlantic meeting would be “highly unusual,” the publication writes.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will likely skip the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels on December 3, two US officials told Reuters .

It is noted that the absence of a senior American diplomat from a key transatlantic meeting would be “highly unusual.” According to the publication, Washington will be represented at the meeting by Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
Reuters does not know why Rubio plans to skip the ministerial meeting, but the publication says “his likely absence comes as U.S. and Ukrainian officials try to narrow differences over President Donald Trump’s plan to end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and some European diplomats complain they are being left out of the process.”
“Typically, there are two formal meetings of NATO foreign ministers per year, and it’s extremely rare for the US Secretary of State to be absent. In 2017, during Trump’s first term, then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson initially planned to skip the April meeting, though it was later rescheduled to accommodate his schedule,” the article states.Read also:
A State Department spokesperson declined to comment to the publication on Rubio’s possible absence from the ministerial meeting and stated that Rubio had recently met with several European officials in Switzerland. A senior State Department official also stated that Rubio attends a sufficient number of meetings, claiming he has already attended dozens of meetings with NATO allies, and “it would be completely impractical to expect him to be present at every meeting.”
“Ukrainian and European officials fear they could be forced to agree to an agreement that is too favorable to Russian interests. These concerns have grown significantly since the media reported on November 18 a draft 28-point plan to end the war. Rubio’s absence risks deepening questions about Washington’s commitment to European security, which has already taken a hit in recent years,” Reuters writes.

is Rubio a Russian asset too? In the world of today, see Yermak, NOTHING SURPRISING ME ANYMORE………….
Quite frankly, this administration does nothing right. How can it? It has not a single competent person on its staff, and this includes Rubio.
I don’t expect the US to stay in NATO for much longer. The signs are already there that they would prefer to align with mafia land.
I think that would cause a bigger rift among the magaists than is already present.
Frankly, I can’t believe that the jelly worms in congress don’t stand up to these morons, intent on destroying the fabric that made the US a great democracy. At this rate, perhaps, Khrushchev will be proven correct in his prediction.
