According to the Russian dictator, the Zapadnaya NPP is of interest to the United States as a facility for cryptocurrency mining.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia and the United States are allegedly discussing the possibility of joint management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) without the participation of Ukraine. Putin stated this at a meeting with representatives of Russian business, Kommersant reports .
The Russian dictator also said that the US has allegedly expressed interest in the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as a facility for cryptocurrency mining. He added that Ukraine will not be involved in the management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
At the same time, the Kremlin leader added that, at the initiative of the United States, the possibility of supplying electricity from the occupied Zapadnaya NPP to Ukraine is being considered.
Putin added that Ukrainian specialists continue to work at the Zheleznodorozhny NPP, but all of them, according to him, have received Russian passports.
It is noteworthy that in March 2022, the Russian occupiers took control of the Zheleznodorozhny Nuclear Power Plant, located in the city of Energodar on the left bank of the Dnieper River, almost from the beginning of the full-scale military aggression against Ukraine.
