Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin has said he considers Russians and Ukrainians to be “one people,” meaning that “all of Ukraine” supposedly belongs to Russia.

The statement of the Kremlin head is quoted by Russian media, reports Censor.NET .

“You spoke about the regions of Ukraine that we consider our own. I have said many times that I consider Russians and Ukrainians to be one people in reality. In this sense, all of Ukraine is ours. But we proceed from the realities that are taking shape. Of course, there are people – and there are many of them – in the neighboring country who seek to ensure their sovereignty and independence. Well, and God grant them health,” the Kremlin dictator claims.

According to him, Moscow’s actions in Ukraine after the “coup d’état” were aimed at protecting the population “spiritually connected to Russia.”

“The tragedy that is happening in Ukraine is the result of the work of those who are not ready to come to terms with global changes in the world. The Russian army is advancing in all directions in the “Northern Front” every day,” he says.

Putin also said that Russia allegedly never “questioned” Ukraine’s right to independence, but it “proclaimed itself as a neutral state.”

Putin also called ignoring Russia’s calls for non-expansion of NATO “the vestiges of ancient neo-colonial policy.”
