“I thank the Service for its strong work in defense of Ukraine and in countering Russian intelligence networks. We also discussed the situation in frontline communities and in the south of our country, particularly in Odesa,” he said.

“This can be done within the framework of a military administration – too many security issues in Odesa have gone unanswered for too long. All effective decisions will be made. I will appoint the head of the military administration in the near future,” Zelenskyy stated.

The situation around Trukhanov

As UNIAN reported, Zelenskyy previously announced a decision regarding several individuals who have been confirmed to hold Russian citizenship. Among them is Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.

Activists asked Trukhanov whether he intended to appeal the decision, to which he replied that he did and assured that he had no intention of leaving Ukraine.

At the same time, the SBU noted that Trukhanov has a valid Russian passport and held a Russian internal passport.
