Russian military attacked Odessa with drones at night, and there are injuries after a residential building was hit. This was reported by the head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper .

According to him, despite the active work of air defense, there is damage to civilian infrastructure, in particular residential buildings.

Kiper specified that as a result of the attack, six apartments were completely destroyed, another 36 were partially damaged. Among the victims were a boy and a girl, 7 and 9 years old. The children, who were poisoned by combustion products, were hospitalized.

According to the press service of the regional headquarters of the State Emergency Service, a 9-story residential building was hit, and the fires spread to apartments on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors.

“50 residents of the building were evacuated. With the help of special equipment, 10 people were rescued from the upper floors, including 2 children,” the State Emergency Service said.

According to preliminary information, 5 people were injured, including two children.

A State Emergency Service Invincibility Point has been deployed near the building, and psychologists are working on site.

Currently, rescuers are using a seismological device to monitor the movement of the destroyed structural elements of the residential building to prevent dangerous debris from falling on the personnel.

The mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, reported that one of the main buildings suffered significant damage. It is dangerous to be in it. After removing the emergency structures, experts will conduct a detailed assessment of the building’s condition – this will allow determining further actions. According to the mayor’s office, three victims were hospitalized.
