Yakovleff noted that the armies of NATO countries can learn a lot from Ukraine.
Ukraine’s role in the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union will be far from small. Moreover, the Alliance’s standard is now inferior to the Ukrainian standard. This opinion was expressed by former Deputy Chief of Staff of the NATO Rapid Reaction Forces, retired Major General Michel Yakovleff in an interview with Ukrinform.
Journalists asked him what Ukraine’s role would be in the EU and NATO. In response, Yakovleff emphasized that the Ukrainian army had become much stronger.
“I don’t know which one exactly. But it will be no small role. Because today the strongest army among NATO countries is not from NATO, the strongest army is the Ukrainian army. The most progressive, the only one that knows what war is. Therefore, in my opinion, we, Europeans, will be the beneficiaries of being in Ukraine,” the retired major general explained.
Yakovleff noted that NATO military personnel will train with the Ukrainian army, improving skills in the use of drones, targeting, logistics, and care for the wounded.
“In short, NATO’s standard today is inferior to the Ukrainian standard. What NATO really does better than Ukraine today is maneuvers. Because you can no longer maneuver, you are stuck on the front line, that’s normal. But high-intensity, massive war, drones, target detection, and so on – here Ukraine is a school,” Yakovleff emphasized.
The retired major general believes that even Americans will realize that they are lagging behind in their development.
“So, this is not a one-way street, it’s not just Europe in its great generosity going to help Ukraine, it’s a two-way street. If you want to quickly create a credible army, then go to school in Ukraine,” Yakovleff assured.
Norway assesses Putin’s chances of attacking NATO countries
Earlier, Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin would try to attack NATO countries . However, he stressed that the Alliance is much stronger than Russia.
“You saw recently in Iran what fifth-generation technology is capable of. The Russians won’t see the F-35 or bombers approaching,” Sandvik said.

I think that Ukraine had reached superirority two years ago already.
Yeah that goes back to what we’ve been saying here over that time. NATO may not realize it yet but they NEED Ukraine. In my opinion they should be begging Ukraine to join. We can always send some tissues to the Kremlin to soak up the Moskali tears.
Or the blood of their meat puppets.
I think that deep down inside, they all know about their military inferiority.
