The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that all Russian drones that will strike NATO countries in the near future will allegedly be launched by Ukrainians.

Russia announced Russian drone strikes on NATO targets in Romania and Poland and in advance blamed Ukraine for them. The official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, made the corresponding statement on her Telegram .

Citing Hungarian media, she said that Ukraine is allegedly preparing a provocation to drag NATO into a direct war with Russia. According to her, the “Kyiv regime’s plan” is to repair several captured Russian drones, load them with explosives and launch them at major NATO transport hubs in Poland and Romania.

Zakharova claims that on September 16, repaired Russian “Geran” drones (aka “Shahed”) were allegedly brought to the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region.

“As Hungarian journalists write, the reason for Zelensky’s actions is simple – the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering a crushing defeat. The defeat of the army is no longer taking place at the tactical level, but is taking on a strategic character,” Zakharova said, clearly contradicting the realities on the front.

According to her, this allegedly prepared provocation has put Europe on the brink of World War III. Zakharova did not specify what Russia will fight against NATO with if it has not been able to capture the regional center of Pokrovsk in Donbas for over a year.
