Twenty-six people have been confirmed dead from the Russian strike, and almost a hundred have been injured.

Following the Russian terrorist attack on apartment buildings, rescuers and police will remain at the impact sites in Ternopil overnight, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced .

“There’s a lot of work ahead. The main thing is to find everyone who might be under the rubble. As of this evening, there are reports of 26 people missing in the destroyed building. Three of them are children,” he noted.

Also, 26 people have been confirmed dead from the Russian strike, and almost a hundred have been injured.

“In a building where two entrances burned completely, there were no apartments left standing. I walked between the charred walls – it was a terrifying experience. Each apartment held an entire life, instantly destroyed by Russia. The flames ignited instantly and engulfed the building in a wave of fire. Terrified, people tried to jump out of windows, but rescuers evacuated them using high-altitude equipment. Unfortunately, 19 people died in the fire,” the minister said.

In turn, the Chairman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Andriy Danyk, reported that clearing the rubble is complicated by the situation at altitude.

He noted that emergency rescue operations will continue tomorrow.

“The best-trained units from all over Ukraine are working here now. These people have extensive experience in clearing rubble. We will continue our work, despite any difficulties,” Danik added.

Russian strike on houses in Ternopil

The types of missiles launched by Russian attackers at two nine-story buildings in the city of Ternopil have been revealed .

“Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles fired from strategic aviation aircraft hit apartment buildings in the city of Ternopil: six Tu-95MS (based at Olenya airfield) and four Tu-160MS (based at Engels and Ukrainka airfields),” the Air Force reported.

The missiles were launched from aircraft in the Vologda and Astrakhan regions.
