Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said that during negotiations with the US President’s special envoy for the war in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, he “brought to Washington” the Russian dictator’s position on the possibility of a truce with Ukraine and a cessation of strikes on Russia.

He is quoted by the Belarusian agency “Belta”, reports  Censor.NET .

“It’s time to step back and start doing something concrete. Negotiations were also held from these positions regarding Ukraine, in particular. They are talking a lot about this today – a truce, at least in the air. Vladimir Putin and I have discussed this problem before, this is not the first time this issue has been raised. Putin is right to say: ‘Listen, we are for it, we are not against it, we do not want American, English, French and German missiles to hit our cities,'” says Lukashenko.

The self-proclaimed leader of Belarus also recalled the “constant attacks by Ukrainian drones” on the Russian Federation.

But, according to him, Putin has one clear demand on this matter – he supposedly agrees to a truce with Ukraine on condition that attacks on Russian cities cease.

“I brought this position to the Americans. And I say: what’s wrong with that? We will work, he says (Kellogg – ed.), in this direction,” the media quotes Lukashenko as saying.

“So work. This will be a good first step towards ending this fratricidal war. But I don’t believe that they (in the West) want to end this war,” he added.

It was previously reported that, against the backdrop of US Special Representative Keith Kellogg’s visit to Alexander Lukashenko on June 21, Belarus released 14 political prisoners , including opposition figure Serhiy Tikhanovsky. He had spent more than five years behind bars.
