This attack was the most painful for the capital’s critical infrastructure facilities.
Half of Kyiv’s apartment buildings—almost 6,000—are currently without heat due to damage to the capital’s critical infrastructure caused by the massive enemy attack . The city is also experiencing water supply disruptions, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported .

“Utility workers have provided social institutions—in particular, hospitals and maternity hospitals—with mobile boiler units. And they are working with energy workers to restore electricity and heat to Kyiv residents’ homes. We are doing everything we can to do this as quickly as possible,” he wrote on Telegram.
Klitschko emphasized that this combined attack on Kyiv was the most devastating for the capital’s critical infrastructure. He stated that city services are operating in emergency mode. Unfortunately, weather conditions are forecast to be challenging in the coming days.
“I also appeal to residents of the capital who have the opportunity to temporarily leave the city, where there are alternative sources of power and heat, to do so,” the mayor noted.
