BREAKING NEWS: Killers who killed SBU colonel in Kyiv eliminated: Malyuk reveals details

Members of the FSB intelligence and combat group resisted, so they were eliminated.

During a special operation, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine eliminated agents of Russian special services who, on behalf of the Russian FSB, had murdered an SBU colonel in Kyiv .

As reported by the SBU press service , the special operation to search for the killers of the Ukrainian defender was personally led by the head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk.

“The FSB of the Russian Federation was routed to Ukraine in advance and three days ago committed the murder of an SBU employee, our comrade Colonel Ivan Voronych. As a result of covert investigative and active counterintelligence measures, the enemy’s lair was discovered. During the detention, they began to resist, there was a firefight, so the scoundrels were eliminated. I want to remind you that the enemy’s only prospect on the territory of Ukraine is death!” – noted Malyuk.

According to the investigation, the murder of the Ukrainian defender was committed by two people – a man and a woman. Their supervisor ordered them to monitor the SBU officer, establish his daily schedule and travel routes. It is noted that after killing the Security Service colonel, the killers tried to “go to the bottom.” But the SBU and National Police officers established their location in the Kyiv region.

The special service informed that on the morning of July 13, a special operation was conducted, during which members of the FSB intelligence and combat group of the Russian Federation began to resist, so they were eliminated.

Murder of an SBU officer: what is known

As UNIAN reported, on Friday, July 11, Russian special services agents killed an SBU employee in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 348 of the Criminal Code (“attempt against the life of a law enforcement officer, a member of a public formation for the protection of public order and the state border, or a serviceman”).

At around 09:00, a man approached SBU Colonel Ivan Voronych and fired 5 aimed shots from a pistol, after which he fled the scene of the crime.
