This morning, in the suburbs of Kherson, Russian occupiers attacked a passenger bus, killing at least two people and injuring many.

According to the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on August 9 at about 08:30, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces carried out an attack with an unmanned aerial vehicle on a route bus that was moving in the suburbs of Kherson. As a result of the attack, two civilians were killed, and a certain number of others, as noted by the prosecutor’s office, received injuries of varying severity.

“All those injured during the shelling were inside the vehicle,” the department noted.Video of the day

An investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The head of the Kherson military administration, Alexander Prokudin, reported that, according to preliminary information, two men were killed.

“Another ten residents of the region were injured, two of them received serious injuries. All the victims were hospitalized and are under the supervision of our doctors,” the official said.

He added that information about the victims is currently being clarified.

At the same time, the Kherson MVA clarified that an 83-year-old man with multiple wounds to the chest and abdomen, and fragmentary wounds to the left arm was hospitalized in serious condition.

“A 61-year-old man is in a moderate condition and was diagnosed with acubarotrauma, multiple shrapnel wounds to the left leg and left hand,” the statement added.

The 66-year-old woman also suffered a concussion, blast and closed craniocerebral trauma, shrapnel wounds and a broken collarbone.

Prokudin later reported that the number of people injured in the Russian strike on the bus had risen to 16. Another six people were hospitalized.
