In temporarily occupied Crimea, the Ukrainian Defense Forces burned two Russian An-26 aircraft, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported .
“The masters of the special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Ghosts” continue to eliminate enemy high-value targets in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea,” the GUR emphasized.
According to intelligence reports, during the raid on the peninsula, special forces burned two Russian invaders’ An-26 transport aircraft. A surface radar station and a coastal MR-10M1 “Mys M1” radar were also hit.
The GUR added that these losses inflicted on the occupation army in Crimea were recorded in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for September 24.

What is known about the An-26 aircraft?
The An-26 (NATO reporting name: Curl, popularly known as Nastya) is a turboprop multi-purpose transport aircraft. It first flew on May 21, 1969, and entered service in 1973.
According to information from open sources, it is characterized by high stability, ease of control, simplicity of piloting techniques and good visibility from the cockpit, which makes it accessible to pilots of average skill level.
