In Cherkasy, the city cemetery was damaged as a result of a morning attack – about 300 graves were destroyed.

As Censor.NET reports , this was reported by the city mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko in a comment to Suspilny.

According to Bondarenko, one of the possible targets of the attackers could have been Heroes’ Alley, which is located just 50 meters from the scene of the attack.

“What happened today is a real mockery of the memory of our fathers, our grandfathers, and those who are buried here. Perhaps the enemy was purposefully trying to damage the Alley of Heroes,” he noted in his comments to the city media.
