BREAKING NEWS: In Belarus, a helicopter shot down a Russian drone flying to Ukraine

At least three Russian drones were spotted in Belarusian airspace.

During Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on July 12, drones from the aggressor country flew through Belarusian airspace . A Belarusian helicopter shot down one Gerber drone. UNIAN was informed about this by informed intelligence sources. 

“On July 12, a Mi-24 helicopter of the Air Defense Forces of the Republic of Belarus attacked and destroyed a Russian Gerber attack UAV flying towards Ukraine,” the sources noted. 

In particular, according to sources, at least three Russian drones were in Belarusian airspace at that moment. 

In this regard, a helicopter of the Belarusian forces, while performing an airspace control mission, reported the detection and destruction of an attack drone. 

“The wreckage of the downed UAV fell in the Gomel region,” intelligence reported.

  2. Maybe nothing to do with Lukashenko. Chopper pilot spotted a foreign drone invading Belarusian airspace and took action.
