Vladimir Zelensky noted that the current number of fighters is small, but there is still a lot to come.

On the Day of the Ukrainian Air Force, the first F-16 fighters, which were handed over by Western partners, were shown. A UNIAN correspondent was present at the presentation.

President Volodymyr Zelensky did not disclose what tasks the long-awaited aircraft would perform. However, he indicated that partners from the Coalition of Development Capabilities of the Ukrainian Air Force know how many aircraft Ukraine needs.

“For now, the number that Ukraine has and the number of pilots who have already been trained is not enough. The positive thing is that we expect additional F-16s. The positive thing is that many of our guys are currently studying. I mean training. Everything we are working on – I really believe that our partners will find a way to expand it – a training platform and training for our pilots. Not only pilots, engineers, etc. This is very important for us,” Zelensky said.
