BREAKING NEWS: EU has evidence that China trained hundreds of Russian soldiers for war against Ukraine

The European Union has evidence that China has trained hundreds of Russian soldiers on its territory for the war against Ukraine. Beijing has previously denied this.

Two leaders engaged in conversation, with one gesturing while the other listens attentively.

As Censor.NET reports, a high-ranking European Union official told “Public” about this .

Confirmation from the EU

As noted, European services discovered that the training took place at several bases in China.

“We are talking about hundreds of people, but this contradicts what the Chinese parties have told us so far. This is specific training for soldiers, some of whom later ended up in the war or on the front lines ,” the European official said in a statement.

The issue of China’s involvement in supporting Russia will be discussed by EU foreign ministers on Monday, June 15, at a meeting in Luxembourg.

“EU-China relations will be discussed, where, obviously, foreign ministers will focus more on foreign and defense policy issues, as well as on the problems of the defense industry’s dependence on China or the supply chains of our defense industry ,” the EU added.

Cooperation between China and Russia

  • On May 19, Reuters, citing its own sources , reported that China’s armed forces secretly trained about 200 Russian military personnel on its territory in late 2025, some of whom later returned to fight in Ukraine.
  • The training of the fighters, according to the agency, was organized at Chinese military facilities in Beijing and the city of Nanjing.
  • Later, in response to a request from Ukrinform, the spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry called it “an attempt to shift the blame,” and denied the accusations and the accusations themselves.
