On Friday morning, Russia was attacked by drones, residents of Syzran in the Samara region complained of numerous drones and explosions. At the same time, social networks write that the target of the attack was a local oil refinery .

Telegram channels are publishing numerous photos and videos that allegedly show a fire in the area of the Syzran Oil Refinery. The video shows the local oil refinery and several fires, as well as large columns of black smoke. The work of the fire alarm can also be heard in the video.

At the same time, the SHOT Telegram channel writes that residents of Syzran, after a series of explosions, “saw fire and smoke in the area of a local enterprise.”Video of the day

At the same time, the governor of the Samara region confirmed reports of a Ukrainian drone attack on the region, but said nothing about the strike on the oil refinery in Syzran.

“Early this morning, a massive UAV attack was carried out on the Samara region. According to preliminary data, 13 enemy drones were destroyed,” he said.

The Syzran Oil Refinery is one of the largest in the Rosneft system and key for the southern Volga region, writes Krymsky Veter .

It supplies fuel to the Samara, Saratov, Penza and parts of the Central Russian regions, and also supplies fuel to airfields and military units in the Central and Southern districts of Russia.

This is the third attack on this refinery. The previous ones were in 2024 and February 2025.

Strikes against Russia

Let us recall that the day before, drones struck the Lukoil oil refinery in Volgograd, causing a fire to break out there.

Earlier, Ukrainian drones struck an oil pumping station of the Transneft Druzhba pipeline in the Bryansk region.

Later, this information was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They added that a defeat and a large-scale fire were recorded in the area of the building of the booster pumping station. It is noteworthy that the LPDS “Unecha” is the largest node of the main network of oil pipelines “Druzhba”.
