On the night of July 31, the enemy attacked the capital Kyiv with missiles and drones. The Sviatoshynskyi and Solomyanskyi districts were the most affected.

As Censor.NET reports , this was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

“Kyiv. Missile strike. Directly into a residential building. People under the rubble. All services are on site. Russian terrorists,” the president’s post says.

As of 6:30 a.m. Kyiv time, 1 person was killed and over 20 were injured, Klymenko noted. Among the injured were three police officers who were on duty. Two injured people were rescued from the rubble.

“One of the strikes hit a residential high-rise building: the entire entrance was destroyed. I am at the scene of search and rescue operations. The State Emergency Service and the police are involved.”

Rescuers are clearing rubble, climbers and engineering equipment are working. Police are providing perimeter security and assisting in rescue operations. Documentation teams are already on site. We are collecting evidence of another war crime by the Russian Federation.

“I ask residents to be understanding of the restrictions introduced in the affected area. This is a matter of safety and the effective operation of all services,” Klymenko noted.

Renewal 

The number of victims in Kyiv has increased to 43 , Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported at 6:54 a.m.

He noted that 26 of them were hospitalized in hospitals in the capital.

“In total, in Kyiv, we currently have the consequences of the Russian combined attack in more than 27 locations. Solomyanskyi district was badly affected, as well as Svyatoshynskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Holosiivskyi,” said Timur Tkachenko, head of the KMVA.

As a result of the Russian attack in the capital,  52 people have now been injured, almost 30 in hospitals.  Among them, 9 children were injured. 

” Two Kyiv residents died as a result of a targeted strike by Russian terrorists. This is also probably not the final number,” Tkachenko emphasized.

The death toll in Kyiv has increased, Tkachenko later reported.

“Currently, the services have confirmed 6 deaths. 4 of them are in the Svyatoshynskyi district, 2 in Solomyanskyi. Among the dead is a child, a six-year-old boy,” the head of the KMVA wrote.

At 11:02, Tkachenko reported that the death toll had increased to 7.

“82 victims so far. 44 in hospitals. A 6-year-old boy died in an ambulance, they didn’t pull him out of that world. At least 10 children injured, 5 of them in hospitals. The Russians did it. A girl, 5 months old, injured — she was shot by the Russians. The data is not final,” Tkachenko added.

As a result of the Russian strike, more than 100 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged: residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, and a university.

The State Emergency Service told reporters that 57 units of equipment and about 300 rescuers were involved.

According to rescuers, about 20 people are considered missing.
