“Blue-yellow flag on the Kinburn Spit! As a result of powerful fire damage, the Southern Defense Forces forced the occupiers to retreat from their occupied positions, the surviving personnel are being evacuated, the occupiers are leaving their defense lines. We are not stopping! Someday our tanks will still reach Dzhankoy!”, the military emphasizes on Facebook .

We will remind, earlier the partisan movement “ATESH”, citing its agent from the headquarters of the “Dnipro” group of troops, reported that the actions of the Defense Forces to cut off supply routes forced the occupiers to hastily evacuate from the Kinburn Spit in the Mykolaiv region.

It was said that units of the 337th Russian Regiment were leaving their positions due to the halt in the supply of ammunition , fuel, and food.

At the same time, the spokesman for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn, explained to UNIAN that on the Kinburn Spit, which the Russians occupied back in 2022, the occupiers are indeed facing major logistical problems due to strikes by Ukrainian drones. However, it is too early to say that they have already abandoned this bridgehead.

Kinburn Spit is an important bridgehead

This sand spit is located in the Mykolaiv region, a few kilometers from the city of Ochakov. It is an extension of the Kinburn Peninsula and partially separates the Black Sea from the Dnieper-Bug estuary.

The spit has been occupied by the Russians since 2022, from where the enemy is shelling Ochakiv, etc., which has blocked traffic from the ports of Kherson and Mykolaiv. This spit is the only occupied part of the Mykolaiv region.

Kinburnska Spit is a component of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine, in particular the “Beloberezhya Sviatoslav” National Nature Park and the “Kinburnska Spit” Regional Landscape Park.
