The Telegram channel added that the preliminary cause of the military plane’s crash was a fuel explosion on the plane.

The monitoring channel  Supernova+ reports that it was not a Tu-154 that crashed, but a Tu-95 strategic bomber-missile carrier. It also notes that the plane crashed in the village of Krasnoyanovo.

The Telegram channel “єRadar” reports that the aircraft was likely armed with cruise missiles. The flight was intended to relocate to the Olenya airfield.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed in comments to Russian media that a Tu-95 had crashed in the Amur Region. The Ministry of Defense clarified that six crew members were killed and one was injured. According to the ministry, the crash occurred during a training flight.
