The purpose for which the plane arrived in Russia is currently unknown.

A Boeing C-17 military transport plane arrived at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport on August 25. According to Flightradar24 , it departed Riga at 08:50 and arrived in Russia a little over an hour later.

This Boeing C-17A Globemaster III with registration number 07-7181 belongs to the US Air Force. It arrived in Riga from the US on August 23. The previous point of its route, according to the flight tracking service, was the Camp Springs area in Maryland, where Joint Base Andrews is located. American presidents and other high-ranking officials usually fly from there. Air Force One, the US presidential plane, is also based there.

But the Globemaster III is not a presidential plane. It is a heavy military transport aircraft used to transport troops, equipment, and cargo, and can also be used for government and special missions.

It is currently unknown what or who the plane was carrying. No information has been received from the American side. The Kremlin also stated that it does not have the information, and the Russian dictator, according to his press secretary Dmitry Peskov, has no meetings planned with the Americans.
