BREAKING NEWS: 20 liters per customer. Three more regions in Siberia and the Far East have introduced restrictions on gasoline sales.

Gasoline sales have been suspended at Baikal Regional Company (BRC) gas stations in the Irkutsk region (Siberian Federal District), Buryatia, and Transbaikalia (Far Eastern Federal District), according to People of Baikal and Irkutsk Media. Since October 21, the chain’s gas stations have been selling a maximum of 20 liters of AI-92 gasoline per customer.

BRC itself noted that the restrictions were imposed for an indefinite period due to disruptions in gasoline shipments from its main suppliers, Rosneft and Gazprom.

The restrictions at BRC stations also affected Irkutsk and  Angarsk , Ulan-Ude , the capital of Buryatia, and the Zaigraevsky district of Buryatia.

“On Saturday [October 18], my husband couldn’t find 95 octane gasoline. Nowhere. He filled up with 100 octane. “And at the 92nd there was a huge line, I couldn’t get through,” one Angarsk resident complained.

Furthermore, Kors gas stations in Chita and the Zabaykalsky Krai are now selling gasoline at a maximum of 20 liters per car, Chita.ru reports, citing its readers.

The publication adds that Rosneft gas stations in the region were out of gas on Tuesday morning. Gazpromneft gas stations in Krasnoyarsk also experienced shortages, according to local journalist Dmitry Polushin. A line formed at the station to buy AI-92 gasoline: “At the checkout, they say, ‘You’re lucky, you’re the last one to get 92-octane gasoline.’ And then the prices hit 58 rubles per liter. The rest are simply turned away.”

Last week, residents of Krasnokamensk in the Transbaikal region reported that only one gas station was operating, leading to huge queues. Other gas stations had run out of AI-92, AI-95, AI-100, and diesel fuel, according to complaints.

The city administration explained that the Soyuz i K gas station chain had experienced supply disruptions and was using coupons to sell fuel. Furthermore, starting last week, 20-liter packages of 92-octane gasoline per customer were also sold in the Kirensky District of the Irkutsk Region and the city of Bodaibo in the north of the region, according to Irkutsk Media.
