Breaking: Belarussian opposition leader flees to Lithuania

Svetlana Tikhanovskaja, Belarus’ opposition leader, fled to Lithuania this morning, in fear for her life.

Meanwhile nationwide protests against dictator Lukashenko continue.

The protesters claim the elections were rigged and demand from Lukashenko to step down.

Thousands of protesters were beat up and arrested since the uprise errupted.

  1. She soon changed her mind. This is what she said yesterday.

    “The leaders have estranged from the people, they do not hear us. I do not see any reason why I should be arrested. And I am not going to leave the country,” Tsikhanouskaya stressed.

      • How did she get across the border? Luka’s terrorist would have stopped her if they wanted. I don’t trust her, nothing personal, but a politician who states Crimea is Russian, is nothing but a Putin asslicker.

        • Hmmm. Good point. Wasn’t she under Luka’s 24/7 protection, although against her will? How did she slip away unnoticed? On the other hand, Zelensky is still the biggest blow for both Ukraine and Belarus.

        • Just read she was forced to leave. Luka gave her a choice between exile or prison danish tv reports. Belarussian officials brought her out of the country.

          • Just read that myself. They still have her husband in prison, so she had no choice, he could have had an “accident”.
