Boris has just posted this in the past few minutes :
It was an honour to speak again at the CEPA conference in Washington where I made five points about what we in Europe must do NOW to help the Ukrainians win:
- Unfreeze the $150-$250 bn of Putin’s assets much of which are in a Belgian bank account and give the cash to the Ukrainians as a down payment on Russia’s reparations bill
- Give the Ukrainians the Tomahawks and other missiles such as German Taurus to take out the bases from which Putin launches his evil bombing raids and give the permissions to use the long-range weapons they already have
- Crack down much harder on the Russian so called Shadow Fleet of sanction busting oil tankers and if one of them should soon find its way to Davey Jones’s locker that will be no bad thing
4. Match President Trump in penalising countries that are buying huge quantities of Putin’s hydrocarbons and funding his war machine. If we fail to do so the President will inevitably blame Europe for showing insufficient resolve – and rightly
- If we really have a “coalition of the willing” in the form of Western troops who are ready to go to Ukraine then they should be deployed NOW. Under no circumstances would these troops engage in war-fighting against Russia. There are plenty of places in Ukraine where they can be usefully and safely employed in backfill and training. It therefore makes no difference when they go. We should send those troops NOW to make the vital point that it is up to Ukraine to decide which foreign troops arrive on its soil and not up to Putin. If we wait for Putin’s agreement then they will never get there and the coalition of the willing will be the coalition of the waiting.

Come on Boris, we need action, have you even seen what’s happening in Ukraine right now….. Maternity hospitals destroyed, children and babies murdered, elderly hunted down😭🤬😭🤬😭
Agree with much of what Boris says. Except :
“Under no circumstances would these troops engage in war-fighting against Russia.”
Why?
That makes no sense.
Ukraine needs 10-12 extra divisions.
European countries plus the Anzaks and the Canuks could provide at least four of those. They can deploy where needed : Odesa, Mykolaiv and others not on the frontline.
This would free up more Ukrainian troops for the frontline.
The standing orders would be to fire on orcs only if fired on.
Their job would be to guard those cities, strengthen air defences and provide the “backstop” that Sir Kier talks about.

Boris is one of Ukraine’s best friends, but he is still no Churchill.
Not to forget; what Boris says today might change tomorrow. This is characteristic of every politician.
Despite the comments Boris has always been a great friend and defender of Ukrainian sovereignty
“Borisuk” as the defenders call him, is the savior of Kyiv, maybe even Ukraine.
He sent 2000 NLAWS before the putler holocaust started. No one else sent fuck all.
They had Trump’s 200 Javelins, which would have only been a few days supply.
The Germans sent some helmets; that was it!
Eventually, with cajoling from Boris, Biden sent more Javelins and then other materiel started to flow.
