Putin listened very carefully to Trump’s statements about the war. However, Bolton himself does not believe in the scenarios described by Trump.

Ukraine is now in a vulnerable position, but the situation is not as dire as at the beginning of the invasion. There is a possibility that the US will not accept the new aid package .

Former US Presidential National Security Adviser John Bolton spoke about this in an interview with the Current Time TV channel , commenting on Bloomberg’s material that Kyiv is in the most vulnerable position in the entire two years of the great war.

“I think that Ukraine was most vulnerable at the beginning of a full-scale war. But now there is a danger that the United States will not pass legislation on the necessary assistance. The United States has reason to think that Russia is firing 5-6 times more artillery shots than Ukraine. Five or six shells for every one fired by Ukraine in response – Ukraine will not last for a long time. Ukraine is clearly saving ammunition,” Bolton says.

He believes that “the best we can hope for before the American elections is a certain stalemate on the battlefield.” Vladimir Putin is waiting for the election of Donald Trump.

“If he gets elected, I’m very worried about the future of Ukraine. I’m very concerned about Trump’s possible re-election – especially because of his position on NATO and in particular on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I really think that if he can focus his attention long enough – which is not easy for Trump – then he will try to withdraw from NATO. Presidents can withdraw from any treaties they want, and he could do this. And it would be a catastrophic mistake for the United States and for the whole world if. “He did it, but it’s possible. I think part of Putin is waiting to see if Trump will do it, because the US leaving NATO will make NATO effectively ineffective – not only for Ukraine, but for the entire alliance,” Bolton added.

He also believes that Putin listened very carefully to Trump’s statements about the war. However, Bolton himself does not believe in the scenarios described by Trump.

“But when the attempt to get a quick fix fails, in Trump’s mind it will mean that it is someone else’s fault: “Obviously, it cannot be his fault. It was not he who failed. “Someone else stopped it.” And I’m very worried that his admiration for Putin will play a role here. And the almost inevitable result is that he will blame Zelensky for the failure, which will obviously be bad news for Ukraine,” he said .

  1. Yea, Putin was listening to Trump. Listening to Laura Ingraham’s town hall a few months back when Trump immediately brought up Soleimani and al-Baghdadi when asked what he would do about the war in Ukraine. The last thing Putin wants is an assassin like himself in the Whitehouse.
