Lubinets believes that they could be tortured.

In the mass grave of people under the liberated Izyum , they found the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen who could have been tortured during the occupation. 

This was told to Radio Liberty by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets.

He visited the burial place of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“There are facts – for example, tied hands – that they were tortured and killed point-blank,” he said.

He also spoke about the burial of entire families, including those with children.

“The scale is simply amazing. All of them were killed during the occupation and during the time when the Russian army was advancing on our territory,” Lubinets said.

Earlier, the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, said that approximately 445 graves of civilians were found near Izyum . Law enforcement officers found two bodies with their ears cut off and shot with a firearm. They have not yet been identified.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on September 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched  a counter-offensive campaign  in the occupied territories of the Kharkiv region.

Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that  almost the entire Kharkiv region has already been de-occupied .
