We are talking about the bodies of the defenders of Ukraine who died in the Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Maryinsk, Ugledar and Zaporizhia directions.

The bodies of more than 500 Ukrainian fallen defenders who defended the state from Russian invaders in different directions of the front have been returned to Ukraine . This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War on Telegram .

“As a result of repatriation activities, 501 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine,” the statement said.

In particular, it was possible to repatriate 382 bodies of defenders who died in the Avdiivka direction, 56 fallen soldiers from the Bakhmut direction, 45 bodies of defenders from the Maryinka direction, 6 bodies of fallen defenders in the Ugledar direction, 4 fallen soldiers in the Zaporizhzhya direction, 7 bodies of defenders who fought in the Luhansk direction. It was also possible to return 1 body from a morgue on the territory of the Russian Federation.

It was also said that the fallen defenders were returned thanks to the cooperation of employees of various government agencies and institutions.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine will transport the repatriated bodies and remains to designated government institutions. Law enforcement officials and forensic experts will establish the identities of the deceased,” the statement said.

At the same time, after identification, the bodies of our defenders will be handed over to their families for a dignified burial.
