The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk stated that during the morning alarm, Russia launched a missile strike on the Carpathian region . As a result of the attack, part of the Ivano-Frankivsk region is without electricity.

“Christmas morning once again showed that nothing is sacred for the aggressor country. At a time when we celebrate one of the greatest religious holidays – the bright Nativity of Christ, the enemy attacked us with missiles, trying to destroy the energy infrastructure in order to plunge us into darkness. But the light always wins,” she wrote on Telegram

According to the head of the regional state administration, there were no casualties. The relevant services are currently working to eliminate the consequences.

“Thank you to each of them! And to everyone who, on weekdays and holidays, day and night, stands in defense of the country and does everything possible so that we can stand firm! Remember: no matter how cruel the enemy is, he will not be able to destroy our faith and fortitude,” Onishchuk emphasized.
