Emergency rescue operations at the sites of the greatest impacts continue.
As a result of today’s shelling by Russian occupiers, the number of casualties continues to grow. As reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko on Telegram, 28 people were killed and 112 were injured. According to him, Russia damaged more than 50 civilian objects, including residential buildings, a business center and two medical institutions.
“28 people were killed: 11 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 17 in Kyiv. 112 people were injured: 62 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 48 in the capital, 2 in the Kyiv region,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
He stressed that emergency rescue operations at the sites of the greatest impacts are continuing. Rescuers, police officers, and utility workers are working.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the number of victims in different areas of the capital has increased to 66 people.
“44 of them were hospitalized in the city’s medical institutions. Others were given assistance on the spot. The death of two adults in the Okhmatdet hospital has been confirmed. One of them is a doctor at the medical institution. Also, two people were preliminarily killed in the Dniprovsky district as a result of debris falling on the medical center. There are also casualties there. The building of the medical institution was damaged,” the mayor noted.
Updated 15.50. The Ministry of Internal Affairs subsequently noted on Telegram that as of 15:30, 20 people were killed in Kiev as a result of an enemy attack, and another 61 people were injured.
Thus, 31 people died in Ukraine, and another 125 were injured.

Russian missile attack on July 8 – what is known
As UNIAN reported, Ukraine found itself under missile attack by the Russian Federation on the morning of July 8. The enemy struck Krivoy Rog and also Kyiv.
On July 8, Russian occupation forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv, and the Okhmatdet Children’s Hospital came under enemy fire. The Security Service of Ukraine has classified the Russian Federation’s attack on the Okhmatdet National Children’s Specialized Hospital as a war crime and opened a criminal case on the matter.
