Russian troops were summoned to Kazakhstan by the head of state Tokayev.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says that he would not compare the entry of Russian troops and other CSTO members into Kazakhstan with the accumulation of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border.
He said this at a briefing following the meeting of NATO foreign ministers on January 7, quoted by Radio Liberty .
Blinken called for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Kazakhstan and the observance, including by foreign troops, of international human rights standards.
“As for the CSTO: we have questions about the nature of this request, why it arose. We want to know more about this. It seems to me that the Kazakh authorities and the government definitely had the capacity to properly deal with the protest, respecting the rights of protesters and upholding the law. and order. It is not clear why they have a need for external assistance, so we are trying to find out more, “- he replied.
At the same time, the Secretary of State considers it incorrect to compare the situation in Kazakhstan and at the border with Ukraine, where the Russian Federation has concentrated about 100 thousand of its military.
“I would not compare these situations. What is happening in Kazakhstan has rather peculiar root causes that go to economic and political origins. What is happening there is different from what is happening on the Ukrainian borders. At the same time, I think that one lesson from recent history: as soon as the Russians are at your home, sometimes it is very difficult to force them to leave, “- said Blinken.
Protests in Kazakhstan: what is known
Protests have been held in Kazakhstan since January 2. People took to the streets of cities due to the rise in prices for liquefied gas . Later, citizens began to demand the resignation of the president, the government, and the introduction of democratic changes. During the rallies, law enforcement officers used force against the protesters.
In connection with the protests, the country’s President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev accepted the resignation of the government . He decided to transfer the interim duties of prime minister to Alikhan Smailov.
Nursultan Nazarbayev left the post of chairman of the Security Council of Kazakhstan . The Security Council was headed by Tokayev.
The President of Kazakhstan asked for help from the heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), so that the troops of the Russian Federation, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were sent to Kazakhstan for a limited period of time to “stabilize and normalize the situation.”

“It seems to me that the Kazakh authorities and the government definitely had the capacity to properly deal with the protest…”
It seems to me that Sir Foccusser may be on to something with his theory, sounds similar to Blinkin’s theory that this might all be a set up or a distraction from Putler.
Kazakhstan is an incredibly valuable asset and putler has Russian colonists in there to justify an invasion.
In 2014, a Ukrainian army Major told me that he believed that the Maidan had more than a Russian trace: putler had threatened to “decapitate” Krym from Ukraine as far back as 2004 and the invasion plans were formulated then, to be expedited when the time was right. Dictators can afford long term strategies; such thinking just isn’t possible in civilised democracies. At the time I doubted it, just as I doubted what a veteran Kremlinologist told me in 2010; that putler ordered the murder of Poland’s entire ruling elite.
The second claim has now been proved correct. And now with putler’s latest invasion, it looks like the first claim is a distinct possibility.
“as soon as the Russians are at your home, sometimes it is very difficult to force them to leave, “- said Blinken.”
Not quite so difficult as you claim Anthony. There are a number of actions that can be taken and the time is now. These actions should not be focussed purely on getting putler to pull back his stormtroopers, but to force a complete and final withdrawal from ALL occupied territories.
Removal from SWIFT
Stop all commercial flights between Russia, America and Britain.
Seizure of cash, property and business assets held by putlerite scum in those countries.
A massive hack into putler cronies offshore bank accounts.
Cancellation of almost all trade between Russia, the US and UK. This means YOU: McDonalds, Boeing, Apple etc.
According to The Telegraph, The Spectator and others, “The president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, ordered security forces to ‘fire without warning’ during unrest related to anti-government protests.”
“At the same time, I think that one lesson from recent history: as soon as the Russians are at your home, sometimes it is very difficult to force them to leave”
Here, the old saying; where there is a will, there is a way, pertains especially to the West in reference to mafia land, which has the ways and means but lacks the will. We, the West, are very, very powerful, both militarily and economically. No other block in the world can match this power. However, with such utterly weak, woke, pussyfied and foolish leadership, all the power in the world is wholly useless. We let the mafia and chink ticks stick in our flesh and suck the lifeblood out of our veins.
