The stock market of the Russian Federation , “inspired” by the aggravation in the Donbass and the meeting of the Security Council of Russia, gave itself a “black Monday”.
The Moscow Exchange index fell by 14.2%, reaching 2910.49 points. The last time such a collapse in the Russian market was recorded on November 13, 2008.
The RTS index during the day fell by 17.3% to 1152.14 points. This is the biggest crash since October 6, 2008.

The Verkhovna Rada, in turn, adopted a resolution on an appeal to international organizations, governments and parliaments of the world’s states regarding the non-recognition of the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”. The appeal calls for international organizations not to recognize any decisions of Russia that will relate to the recognition of the “DNR” and “LNR”.
Today, February 21, the leader of the “DPR” Denis Pushilin appealed to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the independence of the so-called “republic” . A similar request was made by the leader of the “LNR” Leonid Pasechnik.
