The resistance movement in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, put a key oil refining complex of the local refinery out of commission.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.

On the night of September 7, units of the Special Operations Forces, together with the Black Spark resistance cell in the Krasnodar Territory, conducted a special operation at the Ilsky Oil Refinery named after A. A. Shamar.

At about 2 a.m., as a result of well-coordinated actions, the main facility that ensures the operation of the entire enterprise, the Yelou-AT-6 unit, was destroyed.

This primary processing complex has a capacity of 6 million tons of crude oil per year.

It dehydrates and desalinates crude oil and distills it into fractions for further production of gasoline, diesel fuel and other petroleum products.

Without this unit, the refinery is unable to continue operations, and its restoration under international sanctions will be lengthy and extremely expensive.

It has not been officially reported what kind of weapon was used to destroy the unit.

Meanwhile, on the night of September 7, the local public reported high drone activity.

According to them, there were at least 21 drones in the sky over Krasnodar Krai, so the damage to the Yelou-AT-6 was probably caused by them.

Ilsky Oil Refinery

The Ilsky Oil Refinery (KNGK-INPZ LLC) is one of the largest private oil refineries in the region, supplying fuel to the domestic market and exporting products abroad.

It is located in the village of Ilskaya, Seversky District, about 30 km from Krasnodar.

The company has been repeatedly targeted by the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces. The previous strike took place in February this year, and unlike the July attack, it caused a large-scale fire of oil products.

In addition, the facility was hit in 2023 and 2024. Each of them was accompanied by a fire in an industrial area or oil product bunkers.

  1. What’s significant about this particular strike is not the important component of the refinery that got destroyed, although it is an important aspect, but that there seems to be a new(?) resistance group, and that it provided very effective work in this mission. The more inside help that Ukraine gets, the better and more effective it can destroy the mafia state.
Earlier, I thought it might be ATESH that was involved.
I hope to hear more about Black Spark.
