The tech investor said the former president was not happy with him.
Nov 10, 2023

Tech investor Peter Thiel, who was a major donor to Donald Trump in 2016 and played a role on Trump’s White House transition team, said he’s not giving money to the former president or anyone else this time around.
“Voting for Trump was like a not very articulate scream for help,” the billionaire told The Atlantic in a Thursday profile.
Thiel, who co-founded PayPal and Palantir, donated $1.25 million to Trump and Trump-affiliated super PACs in 2016 and spoke on Trump’s behalf at the Republican National Convention that year.
But he told The Atlantic that things didn’t turn out the way he’d hoped.
“There are a lot of things I got wrong,” he acknowledged. “It was crazier than I thought. It was more dangerous than I thought. They couldn’t get the most basic pieces of the government to work. So that was—I think that part was maybe worse than even my low expectations.”
Thiel told the magazine that he had no regrets. But he didn’t contribute to Trump in 2020, according to The Atlantic, and suggested that he wouldn’t donate to any 2024 Republican candidate, including Trump as he seeks to retake the White House.
Thiel said Trump had called him earlier this year looking for $10 million, similar to what Thiel had given Blake Masters and J.D. Vance for their recent Senate races.
Thiel turned him down, according to The Atlantic, and heard later on that Trump had called him a “fucking scumbag.”

“… Trump had called him a “fucking scumbag.”
The narcissist Trump is not only a big mouth and sore loser, he’s also quick to act like a juvenile when things don’t go his way. I’m glad that one major donor has seen the light, concerning the orange one’s presidential campaign.
The rats are jumping the ship
^bert that has spotted rats that were jumping the ship
At least, this one rat has abandoned the trumpet’s ship.
Huffpost? 😉

They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports, and omit information reporting that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy.
Almost as bad as RT, lol
Review lists it as left to moderate. Mixed on factual. Seeing how this one was mostly direct quotes from his interview with the Atlantic there wasn’t much to twist. Review also says it MAY use some of the things listed, doesn’t mean always. Considering rt is state run kremkrap I wouldn’t compare it to the free press.
It might be a free press but is it responsible to use anonymous sources? That seems quite cowardly and biased to me.
It was direct quote how is that anonymous source?

See how this one rates. Though left lean, mostly factual and highly credible.

Blake Masters is a Republican
“and heard later on that Trump had called him a “fucking scumbag.”’
Heard later on? Heard from who? Journalists shouldn’t write like that. Its not factual.
It is not unheard of to use anonymous sourcing and if you track it down from other articles it came from Blake Masters.
The bias towards Marxism in the USA is overwhelming to any fair observer. How often do you hear about all the Dems calling for negotiations with Moscow? Good luck finding anything even though they have written letters to Biden and voted that way. People that don’t see that are blinded by their own ideology.
Is this from anonymous sources lol
Nah, the obvious don’t need sources, that’s like asking for proof the sky is blue 😉
Much love Sir RSM.😁

I do get what you are saying, that transparency is key in credabilaty, and should be checked and verified in presenting factual information. In some cases however, including some landmark ones, it’s not always possible to reveal sources of information.
Using anonymous sources should be a reporter’s last resort and not their first. Now it is common use in the left wing media and destroying responsible journalism while promoting propaganda and disinformation..
I fully agree. The anonymous source methodology is being overused. It is viable only if there is tangible danger for the source if he or she is exposed.
It is used in right wing media as well don’t kid yourself.
I’m sure you’re not worried about that 5%
Media is as media does, along with the information age, we have the misinformation age.
Percentages as with media are biased depending on controls, lack thereof, standards and averages.
Its true and the enduring strength of the Kremlin is case in point. Who would think there are still people listening to that bilge considering their long, long history or disinfo and propaganda? Then still after their rabid, illegal and fascist invasion of their much smaller neighbor? It is unbelievable. But, we are doing our small part here to fight it off, thanks again Sir Bill for all your efforts, sacrifice and putting up with me.
Likewise thanks for your efforts, and putting up with me as well. Yes, we are doing our small part here to support Ukraine, and fight off kremlin propaganda. We have our differences and disagreements, but I think we unite on those two points.
At this point, I’ll also say thank you, Bill.
As for our bickering sometimes, I’ve never seen or heard of a group that doesn’t have differing opinions with some things. That’s perfectly normal.
Thank you as well Sir Facts, and yes even among family you can have differing opinions and colorful discussions. Is normal and can even be healthy if we learn and grow.
Indeed, if we don’t let things get out of hand. This makes us better than some statesmen. I think that differing opinions is an enrichment in any discussion, as long as they don’t entail radical or disgusting viewpoints.
you really believe in God! it’s not sourced it’s anonymous…
is this really responsible?
you think trump is a god
it is not proven. Is this really responsible?! ;D
Don’t push me bert. I will release Sir Focusser on you.
Red, the original story was taken from The Atlantic. It was also published on Reuters, Business Insider and The Hill.
Okay, so the quote is hearsay. However, the most important thing about all that is; “Tech billionaire Peter Thiel, who previously supported former President Trump, said the Trump administration was “crazier” and “more dangerous” than he expected…”
Like I said before, Red, if you could give me something that shows Trump in a different light, in particular about Ukraine support, then I promise you that I will officially apologize on here and I will never pick on the orange one again. I won’t even call him names anymore. Until then, your bias toward him is a deep mystery to me, but I respect it.
Red is as if bewitched, as if in love: the judgment zone in his brain is inhibited. trump can say he grabs women by the pussy buying whores with campaign money and say he could kill someone without going to jail…Red isn’t even shocked! trump can mess around with the Iranian nuclear deal (which is damaging women’s revolts now) he can be a fool with Rocketman (Iran-North Korea-Russia axis), he can confuse Erdogan and Orban, Hungary and Turkey …there is no problem because Trump is his superhero.
… Red is like those who say since the American camp has done dirty tricks then the Russian camp has the right to do the same and mistreat the Ukrainians… He favors his family group with the eyes of the love 😉
From Scradge’s article today:
“30 progressive Democrats in the House of Representatives sent a letter to the U.S. President Joe Biden last year asking the president to pursue a ceasefire in Ukraine”
Interesting there isn’t much reporting on them, just the GOP.
Of course, even the Democrats have blind and dumb individuals who don’t seem to care about the tremendous negative consequences that a mafia victory brings with it.
BTW, Red, I’m still a Republican.
It was fully reported. Plus the fact that they were forced to retract. Even the worst ones voted for Ukraine aid.
The terrible threat to Ukraine comes exclusively front the putler wing of the GOP.
Unless some deal can be made, the aid will stop.
I have no idea if this final big tranche prior to the election will be paid out or not. Have you?
95% of the GOP want the help to continue but a chunk of idiots want it paid for in offsets. I’m sure it will pass eventually, they’re backed up against another CR next month.
By the way, with 30+ Congressmen pushing for negotiations, that is more of a threat than some right wingers insisting on having the aid paid for in offsets or frozen funds if you ask Ukrainians.
