WASHINGTON, D.C. — With Democratic Senator Bob Menendez facing charges of bribery, President Biden weighed in this morning, condemning the Senator for accepting his bribes in bars of gold rather than fungible assets laundered through 20 shell companies.
“Gold? That’s a real rookie move, Jack!” said Biden to reporters. “If you’re gonna get rich off a bribe, you gotta have money wired to several different shell companies in Russia which will then launder the money and wire it to your son in exchange for a painting, who will then buy some expensive items, and give you your cut. Come on, man! This ain’t rocket surgery! Don’t they launder money in Mexico or wherever this Menendez guy is from?”
Sources say suspicions around Menendez first arose when he started trying to pay for bags of chips in the Capitol cafeteria with gold doubloons.
Federal investigators confirmed Menendez is now facing several serious charges of receiving bribes in an overly obvious way while not being a member of the Biden family. “We will pursue these charges to the best of our ability,” said Attorney General Merrick Garland. “Fortunately, Menendez is the only politician in Washington who has ever received a bribe, so we believe this problem is now contained.”
At publishing time, Hunter Biden had been seen by witnesses desperately trying to pawn off a wheelbarrow full of gold at a corner pawn shop in DC. 🙂

The brain surgeon and rocket scientist are often held as the benchmark for careers that require highly intelligent, skilled, and successful people.

The brain surgeon and rocket scientist are often held as the benchmark for careers that require highly intelligent, skilled, and successful people. “Not exactly rocket science, is it?” and “Not exactly brain surgery.” are common expressions to suggest that something doesn’t require a great deal of skill. “It ain’t rocket surgery” is a trope that combines the two of them.
I don’t know who originated it; I know it was the punchline to a Rich Hall joke about the secret of comedy: “You gotta be able to say stupid things intelligently, or intelligent things stupidly. Whatever, it ain’t rocket surgery!”
Given the nature of this highly biased attack, the writer probably intended to suggest that Biden is as senile as Trump is, rather than suggesting that he was using this not-uncommon expression.

I don’t now who you’re referring to by “they”, but:
1. If he misspoke I’d have no problem admitting it. It’s well known that Joe Biden has had a lifelong stuttering problem, his long propensity to verbal gaffes is related to that.
2. It’s not clear to me that he *did* use that phrase. I googled before posting, and saw no mention of him. As best I can tell, it’s only in that satirical post from a strongly right-wing anti-Biden satire website.
3. Even if he did use it, we’d have no way of knowing if he intended to reference the joke or if it was another gaffe.

What happened to “trying to bring as many people together as I can to support Ukraine”, and “Can’t we drop partisanship for the sake of Ukraine?”
I’m sorry that you chose to support the guy who was a crook and a con-man, but is that any reason to attack the President who’s trying to support Ukraine, despite the Republicans who are blocking him?
Just bringing some balance. The anti-conservative articles to anti-socialist articles are probably 20-1 so don’t complain about a little balance.
I haven’t noticed any anti-conservative articles – just articles attacking those politicians who are pro-putler. And the articles generally tend to be at least somewhat related to Ukraine. And what you posted isn’t “anti-socialist”; it’s anti-Biden, who is a fairly centrist Democrat – very far from a socialist.
