Biden answered what peace in Ukraine should be like

In particular, peace should be such that Russia cannot occupy Ukraine, but this does not mean membership in NATO.

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, answered how he sees peace for Ukraine in the future.

Biden said this in an interview with Time magazine.  In particular, the head of the White House was asked what the ultimate goal should be in Ukraine and what peace should be.

“Peace will look like a guarantee that Russia will never occupy Ukraine,” Biden emphasized.

At the same time, the US president repeated the word “never” four times.

“And this does not mean to NATO that they are part of NATO. It means that we have relations with them as with other countries, where we supply weapons so that they can defend themselves in the future,” Biden added.

At the same time, as the US leader recalled, he had previously said that he was not ready to support Ukraine’s NATO membership.

At the same time, according to him, if the Western countries allow Ukraine to fall, then other countries neighboring Russia will fall after it.

He was also asked whether there is a threat that NATO is on a slippery slope to war with Russia.

“No, we’re on a slippery slope to war if we don’t do something about Ukraine,” Biden said.

  1. His interview with Time : May 28. Extract:

“So what is the endgame though in Ukraine and what does peace look like there?
Biden: Peace looks like making sure Russia never, never, never, never occupies Ukraine. That’s what peace looks like. And it doesn’t mean NATO, they are part of NATO. It means we have a relationship with them like we do with other countries, where we supply weapons so they can defend themselves in the future. But it is not, if you notice, I was the one when—and you guys did report it at TIME—the one that I was saying that I am not prepared to support the NATOization of Ukraine.
It should not, it is not—I spent a month in Ukraine when I was a Senator and Vice President. There was significant corruption. There was a circumstance that was really difficult. And so, the point is, though, that if we ever let Ukraine go down, mark my words: you’ll see Poland go, and you’ll see all those nations along the actual border of Russia, from the Balkans and Belarus, all those, they’re going to make their own accommodations.”

At that point the interviewer unaccountably switches to Israel.

    • Gobbledygook. With a totally irrelevant, outdated dig about corruption. WTF? Sounds like Trumpkov-type drivel.
Isn’t Biden Jr in trouble for some pretty dodgy activities btw?

  2. “No, we’re on a slippery slope to war if we don’t do something about Ukraine,” Biden said.

Maybe allowing Ukraine to destroy everything in russia that is closer than 300km would help.

    • These leaders KNOW a NATO acceptance is the only real guarantee the Red Horde will not continue Poopin’s genocide campaign. And the KNOW what the Red Horde want more than anything else; Ukraine. Even a 6-year old could figure that out.

  3. “It means that we have relations with them as with other countries, where we supply weapons so that they can defend themselves in the future”

I do not see any guarantee of security, let alone survival, with these conditions which could change depending on the renewal of political personnel in the USA and the EU. Ridiculous, no sense.

How will Ukraine be able to defend itself with conventional weapons from threats from Moscow? How can Kyiv finance it in the long term? The risk of a Russian provocation and the release of tactical weapons on Ukrainian soil has not been resolved. There is no deterrent effect in these proposals.

I no longer understand this guy who constantly blows hot and cold.

  4. “never, never, never, never ”

You can put “never” with whatever exponent “n” you want, it does not protect Ukraine in any way as long as a country or group of countries with a nuclear power does not guarantee Ukraine’s security.

The only other solution is to hand over the nuclear weapons that Ukraine possessed before the Memorandum.
