Belarusians Ignore Pseudo-Elections Despite Appeals From Lukashenka: Empty polling stations across the country

26.01.2025

‘Polling stations’ have closed in Belarus. Readers of Charter97.org report disastrously low voter turnout in the so-called “elections” across the country.

“A polling station at a school. I passed by several times and didn’t see anyone there.”

“Homel, empty polling stations all day long.”

“It seems they couldn’t even lure people in with cheap vodka and sausage,” Belarusians write.

Our readers report a disastrously low voter turnout in Minsk, Mahiliou, Baranavichy, Mazyr and other cities in the country.

Foreign journalists who came to Belarus write about the boycott of the ‘elections’.

  1. An election without voters. The fat potato with a mustache will be “elected” anyway, regardless if anyone votes or not.

  2. So the loony was voted in with 87% of nothing, which in my book means nobody voted for him, despite the bribes of sausage and vodka.
