The National Coordinator on achieving Sustainable Development Goals, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Isachenko has addressed the UN General Assembly with an official statement-complaint about the Western sanctions against Belarus. This was reported by the press service of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.
The reason for the statement is called “economic and political pressure on Belarus.” In the document, Isachenko asks the UN to influence the authors of the sanctions. The country faced “an impudent and daring challenge”, thrown down to a sovereign, democratic and peace-loving state, to each of its citizens.
“Unilateral restrictive measures in the form of non-admission of goods produced in Belarus to the European market, bans of Western states on flights of Belarusian carriers over their territory, escalation of the migration crisis on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border are now acquiring disastrous prospects. Such a thoughtless policy towards our country seriously affects the interests of not only Belarusian citizens. Hundreds of appeals from Belarusian labor collectives have been sent to the European Union with an appeal to stop unlawful pressure. However, numerous requests from workers are being ignored,” the statement reads.
Anatoly Isachenko called on the UN General Assembly to condemn “gross interference in the internal affairs of Belarus” by foreign states and to take measures to prevent the use of “unilateral coercive restrictions on a sovereign state.”
As we reported earlier, the Federal Council of Switzerland announced further economic sanctions against Belarus.
The measures provide the enhancing of control over the trade by particular goods, as well as the restrictions in the financial sector. The Federal Council introduces sanctions for products that could be used to monitor or intercept internet and telephone communications.

Belarus is an outcrying shame and should be cut off from the civilized world until a democratization process has started. The same can be said about Muscovy and Cuba.
