In the event of a threat from NATO, Belarus is ready to deploy nuclear weapons .
“What President Alexander Lukashenko said that we are considering the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus is one of the possible responses to possible future actions by the North Atlantic Alliance on the territory of Poland,” BelTA quotes Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei .
The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry also said that NATO has come close to the Belarusian borders, and the military activity of the alliance and the number of military exercises have increased significantly.
