The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, criticized the security of school No. 175 in Kazan, where the massacre took place on May 11 . Bastrykin blamed the parents for the lack of security.
The school was not guarded, although there was a security agreement. I ask the headmistress: “Why didn’t they guard the school?” – “Parents were against” – “Why?” Is silent. And I know why – my parents had to give money for security, they refused. There was no security, although the contract existed.
Bastrykin also said that after the massacre at a college in Kerch, the authorities issued instructions to prevent similar crimes, but since then half of them have not been carried out. “I am reporting: 50% of those instructions that were given in a broad sense, starting with school security and ending with educational work, have not been fulfilled – this is the result,” said the head of the Investigative Committee.
