It’s worth noting that some Russian occupiers surrendered voluntarily to Ukrainian forces, while others had to be forced to lay down their arms. Azov noted that this was the best possible outcome for them.
It is reported that the operations to capture Russian soldiers were carried out by fighters from the 12th Azov Brigade and the 14th Chervona Kalyna Brigade, as well as defenders of the 4th Rubezh Brigade, who blocked the enemy’s ability to retreat.
For Ukraine, replenishing the exchange fund provides an opportunity to return more defenders held in Russian captivity.
“Every enemy captured brings the return of our brothers from captivity closer,” the statement said.
The published video shows Russian occupiers, who stated their names and thanked Ukrainian soldiers for saving their lives.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces captured 21 Russian occupiers.
Azov fighters also reminded the Russian occupiers that they guarantee their lives if they surrender their weapons. They also noted that in all other cases, the occupiers should not expect a positive outcome.
Russia is recruiting foreigners to fight in Ukraine.
UNIAN previously reported that a protest took place in the Indian capital, Delhi, on November 3 , organized by relatives of men recruited by Russia to fight on its side against Ukraine.
Most of the relatives reported that Russia promised the Indians safe and well-paid jobs in the security sector, but in exchange, they were sent to the front.
Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal stated that the government had repeatedly warned citizens about the “risks and dangers” of joining the Russian army. The ministry called on Moscow to cease recruiting Indian citizens.
We also reported that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga stated that 1,436 citizens from 36 African countries are currently fighting in Ukraine in the Russian army, that is, on the side of the occupiers .
Sybiga added that this only includes those individuals who have been identified. He did not rule out that the actual number of Africans could be higher.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister shared that Russia recruits Africans using various methods: some are offered money, while others are deceived or pressured into signing contracts with the Russian army.
