Budano confirmed that there were attempts to assassinate Putin.

Attempts to kill Russian dictator Vladimir Putin have been made several times, but Russians are afraid of losing him, because he is the guarantor of their life stability, said the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with NV . 

“There were attempts to kill, but, as you can see, they were unsuccessful so far,” he said. 

At the same time, Budanov said that he does not believe that the attempts to kill the head of the Kremlin indicate insufficient compromise and authority of the ruler in power circles. On this occasion, the head of the GUR recalled the stories of his grandmother, who witnessed Stalin’s death.

“She said, it seemed to people then that their whole world had collapsed, it was not clear how to live on. Putin has been in power for more than 20 years, so it will be a very similar feeling, and now Russians have a fear of losing him, because he is the guarantor of their life stability,” Budanov noted.
