A 57-year-old trolleybus driver who was seriously injured as a result of a Russian strike by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces on the outskirts of Sumy on June 22 died in the hospital.

This was announced by the head of the OVA Oleg Grigorov and the construction company “Electroavtotrans”.

As noted, at the time of the attack on Monday evening, the man was near the epicenter of the impact.

“All this time, doctors fought for his life. But the injuries were extremely serious. My sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. May you have the strength to survive this heavy loss,” the head of the OVA noted.

Worked at “Electroavtotrans” for 22 years

“Medics fought for the life of trolleybus driver Vasyl Vasilyovych Kryshtop for several days, but the injuries turned out to be too severe… Enemy strikes cut off the path of our 57-year-old colleague, who was simply doing his peaceful work and ensuring the city’s vital activities,” the municipal enterprise wrote.

It is reported that the man dedicated 22 years to this enterprise.

“Very kind, polite, responsible, always ready to help. He was respected for his special humanity, sincerity, and attentive attitude towards people, and young drivers knew him as a wise teacher and mentor. We share the deep pain with his family. Forever in our hearts,” the CP added.
