Russian invading forces have launched two ballistic missiles at an educational institution in Poltava, resulting in more than 40 deaths and 180 injuries to date.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Telegram. The head of state noted that he had received preliminary reports about the Russian strike on Poltava.
“According to the information we have now, two ballistic missiles. They hit the territory of an educational institution and a nearby hospital. One of the buildings of the Institute of Communications was partially destroyed. People were under the rubble. Many were rescued. More than 180 people were injured. Unfortunately, many were killed. As of now, 41 people are known to have died. My condolences to all their families and friends,” Zelensky emphasized.
The President ordered a full and prompt investigation into all circumstances of the incident.
“All necessary services have been involved in the rescue operation. I am grateful to each and every one of those who have been helping people from the first minutes after the impact, who have been saving lives,” Zelensky added.

As a result of a missile strike on an educational institution and a hospital in Poltava, the death toll has risen to 47 people.
This was reported on the X network by First Lady Elena Zelenskaya. She added that the number of wounded has also increased sharply. It currently stands at 206 people.
“We already know about 47 dead and 206 wounded. Russia is taking away our most precious thing – life. We will never forget this. Eternal memory,” wrote the wife of the Ukrainian president.

Later, the head of the Poltava regional military administration, Filipp Pronin , reported that the number of people killed as a result of the missile strike on Poltava had risen to 49, with another 219 injured.
