Rescuers pulled the body of another victim from under the rubble.

Only today at 4:15 a.m., while clearing the rubble, rescuers discovered the body of the second victim of yesterday’s Russian attack on Lutsk.

According to the city mayor Igor Polischuk, this is a girl born in 2001.

Rescuers freed the body of her fiancé Nikolai yesterday.

“Russia has cut short the life of a young couple who had so many plans and everything ahead of them. Eternal memory to you, Nikolai and Ivanna,” the mayor wrote.

Polischuk declared a Day of Mourning for the victims in the city today.

Attack on Lutsk

On the night of June 6, Lutsk experienced the most massive Russian air attack.

As Lutsk Mayor Igor Polischuk reported, the Russians launched 15 drones and 6 missiles at the city. There were several explosions in the city, and air defense was in operation.

“There is a damaged roof on one of the apartment buildings, many broken windows in apartment buildings, commercial properties and private cars were damaged,” the mayor said.

Yesterday afternoon Polischuk reported the first victim of the Russian strike. “Unfortunately, we have one person killed by the enemy strike, a young guy who rescuers found under the rubble of a multi-story building,” the mayor wrote yesterday.

He added that 15 teams have been formed to cover damaged windows from wind and rain. Three teams have been formed to urgently repair roofs. These teams have already started work.
