The US announced a new military aid package for Ukraine: what it included

The equipment will be provided from Pentagon warehouses under the presidential powers program.

The US Department of Defense has announced approximately $125 million in additional security assistance for Ukraine.

The equipment will be provided from Pentagon warehouses under the Presidential Distinguished Aid (PDA) program, the Pentagon website notes . The package will include:

  • Stinger missiles;
  • HIMARS ammunition;
  • artillery ammunition of 155 mm and 105 mm caliber;
  • multipurpose radars;
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
  • HMMWV armored vehicles;
  • cartridges for small arms;
  • explosive equipment and ammunition;
  • equipment for the protection of critical infrastructure;
  • spare parts and auxiliary equipment.

“We will deliver this new assistance as quickly as possible to strengthen Ukraine’s defense of its territory and people. As President Biden has made clear, the United States and the international coalition we have assembled will continue to stand with Ukraine,” said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
