Attack on a refinery near Samara: a drone hit the installation, the plant stopped work

According to Russian media, one of Russia’s largest oil refineries was forced to stop operations.

On Saturday, March 23, drones hit one of the installations of the Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Russian Federation.

As ASTRA reports , citing sources, the refinery suspended operations after the attack. One of the installations was damaged.

“As a result of the attack on the oil refinery in Samara, the AVT-4 unit was damaged and the plant’s production cycle was stopped. The attack was carried out on the morning of March 23,” the source noted.

The channel adds that over the past three weeks this is the 12th attack on a refinery in the Russian Federation.

Fire at the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery – what is known

This is not the first attack on the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery. On March 16, it was about an attack on three oil refineries in the Samara region of the Russian Federation, which was effective. SBU drones attacked three Rosneft oil refineries in the Samara region – Novokuybyshevsky, Kuibyshevsky and Syzran oil refineries.
